The Season of Showing Up

How to Maximize IRL Connections This Fall

The start of fall brings a fresh sense of energy and exciting opportunities for communities to come together.

At Lawson House, we’re embracing fall as a chance to come together in person, build relationships, and strengthen the bonds that fuel our work and community.

Why In-Person Matters

In a digital-first world, face-to-face conversations have a unique impact. Meeting across a table, rather than through a screen, builds trust, strengthens partnerships, and often sparks ideas that don’t show up online. For us, showing up IRL means:

  • Connecting with local business owners who share our vision and values.

  • Building a stronger referral network that benefits both us and our partners.

  • Learning from others by hearing firsthand experiences and fresh perspectives.

Where You’ll Find Us This Season

This fall, you can find our team connecting in person with our community. Come see us at:

  • October 16th at CelebrateHER 2025, featuring our CEO, Caroline Lewis, alongside other local business owners.

3 Tips for Maximizing In-Person Events This Fall

If you’re planning to show up too, here are a few simple strategies to get the most out of every connection:

1. Be prepared. Refresh your materials: whether it’s business cards, flyers, or a QR code, make sure they reflect your current brand. Also, practice your pitch. Have a quick, engaging way to introduce yourself that leaves a lasting impression.

2. Choose events with intention. Not all events serve the same purpose. Choose events that align with your goals and allow you to connect with your intended audience.

3. Follow up while it’s fresh. Connections don’t end when the event does. Send a quick message or DM within 48 hours. Add value where you can: share a helpful blog, offer a free resource, or make an introduction to someone in your network.

Showing Up Together

This season, we’re committed to being present, engaged, and intentional in the ways we connect. Whether it’s at a conference or over coffee, these moments are what bring our community and work to life.
